I find the natural world and its intricate workings
fascinating and beautiful, and I relate strongly to it.
My goal as a Natural
Science Illustrator is to accurately represent the unique features
of a species and, especially, to bring out the essence of the being.
As I research
and create an illustration, my understanding of
the character of the subject
is deepened.
I hope the outcome of that relationship results
in an image that provides
the viewer with some clarity and insight about the subject,
fostering new connections.
